Fathers Day Weekend

This weekend we flew to California for Jake & Dana Peterman's Wedding Reception. It was great to see a lot of old friends and celebrate with the Petermans. After having breakfast with the Barkers and D'Virgilios on Sunday we spent the rest of the day with Jim & Heather and family. Here is Andy and Jim giving swim lessons to Mackenzie and Cole. It was still to cold in the big pool for lessons. A great way to celebrate Father's Day.

Lake Powell

Last week Andy and I spent a week at Lake Powell just relaxing and having a good time. The Lake is really filling up. It was coming up 8 inches each day and by the end if the week we had lost our barrier islands. The water was still too cold to waterski so we did a lot of kayaking, hiking and fishing.

Reilly loves the kayaking. It is hard to get the boat in the water before she jumps in.

The fishing was great. Andy probably caught 30 fish, mostly big and small mouth bass but this one stripper

Montlure Work Camp

Every year for the last 4 or 5 years we have gone with a group from our church to work on Montlure Presbyterian Church Camp, getting it ready for the summer. It is a beautiful place near Greer Arizona at about 8600'. This year we had a storm come through and this is what it looked like on Thursday in the camp. The weather did clear up and we had a fantastic 4 days of work and fellowship. This is a group picture we took on Sunday morning (minus Brian who took the picture).

Aloha Hawaii

The week really goes by fast and it is time to say Aloha to Hawaii.

This was a waterfall that we needed to hike into through a dense jungle.

Turtle Day at the Beach

We started out today planning to do our favorite waterfall hike but were stopped part way through by earthquake repairs on the ditch we hiked along. Instead we headed for one of our favorite beaches.

This beach is a hidden one by private homes. There are always turtles here.

Not sure what kind of birds these are but they sure are beautiful.

Hawaii

Andy and I are are spending a week on the Big Island. This is one of the beautiful beaches that we go to for great snorkling and swimming. The water here was crystal clear and we got to see turtles as well.

Happy Easter

We had a wonderful Easter with all the kids and grandkids. Great-grandmother Dorothy had a great time reading a book to her older grand-daughters. Audrey and Mackenzie had a great time playing together.
