Waipio Valley

 Our neighbors at the condo.

 Today we hiked down to the Waipio Valley.  It is a 900 foot drop in one mile (a very steep road).  The really bad part is the walk up.

 It is a beautiful black sand beach.

 There was a herd of wild horses down in this beautiful valley.

Beach Hike

 Today Andy, Krisse and I hiked to a beautiful beach.

 We had this guy join us on the beach.

Pololu Valley Hike

 Today, Andy and I did the Pololu hike.  It is a 400 foot drop down a steep cliff to a black sand beach.  We headed across the valley and up the other side until it got too muddy and we ran into some volunteers clearing the trail.

 We did this hike 5 years ago but we shocked at the number of people lined up to come down when we got back up to the top.

 This morning we went to the beach where we can always find turtles even though it was low tide.

 We are in Hawaii for two weeks.  This is a good break for us after losing Mom two weeks ago.  We always go to the Mauna Kea beach on our first day (tradition).  The weather is perfect.

On Saturday we did the usual tour of the falls, etc.  This is Rainbow Falls.

Spring in Sedona

 The weather has been perfect for hiking. 

 Lots of water and wildflowers.

 On our way to Sedona we stopped at Bartlett Lake to see the wildflowers.

 We finally gave up hiking after running into 2 rattlesnakes.

 This was our second hike of the day in Sedona on Tuesday.  We love going here for lunch.
