Wildflower Hike

We finally had a day that both of us were free so we took a wildflower hike in Catalina State Park.

This is really a great year for wildflowers due to the early rains that we had last fall.

Reilly and I resting at the top of the trail where the water was still flowing, Reilly loves playing in the water.

More Snow Time

Wednesday, Audrey took a day off from ski school and Scott took her to the new Zephyr lodge at the top of the mountain, where we traded off watching her and skiing.

When we are not skiing, there is time to make snow angels.

When we go down to the village at the end of the day to pick up Audrey, the resort people are waiting with smore's for us. Here is Audrey eating her's while we take the gondola up to ski back to our condo.

Northstar at Tahoe

What a different a month and a year make. A year ago we were here and had 10 feet of snow in one week. A month ago Andy and I were here and there was no snow in front of the condo. Scott and Audrey are getting ready to go down to the village for ski school for Audrey.

Scott carried Audrey down on his snow board.

Here is Audrey with her teacher getting ready go up the magic carpet and ski down.

We are getting Audrey ready to ski back down to the condo after a long day of play and skiing.

Time with friends

We have been a long time with a new blog. Mom had a TIA when we were in Tahoe and we had to fly home early. It has taken a while but she is doing fine and getting better every day. Thursday our friends the Barkers and the D'Virgilios arrived to do the gem show. Today we also went to the the Miniature Museum. It was great, beautiful arrangements.

Here is Tom at one of the gem shows. The girls went to the Holidome.

Northstar-at-Tahoe

We have been coming to Northstar for 35 years. This is the least anount of snow that we have ever seen here. This is our condo complex that is usually ski-in/ski-out. As you can see there is no snow here. Last February when we were here, we had 10 feet of snow that week and had to trek through it to get on the run. This year we have to drive down to a parking spot nearer the main run.

We are able to ski because they are making snow on some runs. This is one of the back side runs that is closed and because it is so cold they were still making snow this morning on our early runs.

4th Sunday in Advent

Scott, Karin Audrey and Sophie were the candle lighters at the Contemporary Service this Sunday. Audrey did a great job lighting the candle and Sophie just helped by being there.

Most Sundays we go to Mom's for lunch. One of the servers put this elf hat on Sophie.

Early Family Christmas

Jim, Heather, Cole and Mackenzie all came over from California for an early family Christmas. We took all the kids to the Tucson Childrens Museum on Saturday and they had a great time. On Sunday we took the girls to church where it was Angel Sunday. Here are Audrey and Mackenzie before church after a sleepover last night for the two girls.

The three girls are watching K'Deo (our church's puppet program).
