Skoki backcountry Lodge, Banff

After leaving Lake O Hara and spending a couple of nights at Baker Creek we hiked into Skoki Lodge. It is a beautiful 13 K (8 miles) into the Lodge over two passes with a 1700' climb.
This was the lake where we stopped for lunch on the way in.

On Thursday night we had 5" of snow at the Lodge so we hiked in the snow on Friday.

Lake O Hara

We flew up to Calgary on August 6th to go to Lake O Hara. We have tried to get into the Lodge for 4 years and finally got a spot. They are trying to keep this beautiful spot from becoming another crowded Lake Louise. The bus takes you in a road 11 K, and there are very limited spots on the bus. The alpine hiking is incredible. We spent two nights at the Lodge.

Babysitting Audrey

This is our granddaughter, Audrey, Scott & Karin's daughter at 16 months old. We have had her for the last week because Karin had a chance to go with Scott on one of his business trips to Israel. They have had a wonderful time and got a chance today to go to Petra in Jordan. Karin will be back Tuesday and Scott has to make a detour to Washington DC for work.
The upper pictures show our "Reilly" and Audrey's Reilly dog.
We leave for Canada on Thursday for our hike in trips to Lake O'Hara and Skoki Lodge. We will not be able to post pictures until we get back from that trip. We leave right after that trip to babysit the California grandkids for Jim & Heather's 10th anniversary trip, snowboarding in Peru.
